African Cream Music, the successful record label responsible for
bringing these tales to life in a new way, decided to launch African
Cream Kids in 2006. Their vision was to capture the beautiful songs and
tales of Mother Africa, and share them with children across the globe.
That dream is already coming true with Under African Skies already
being sold in eight countries including Italy, England, America, France
and Australia. Executive producer Sergio Cartanese, an ex-South African
living in Italy says, "I wanted to bring to the world the rich cultural
heritage that South Africans have and to give it the credit it
deserves. It's important that these wonderful stories which were passed
down in the oral tradition can be enjoyed by the next generation".
