In 2005 African Cream Music launched the African Cream Kids. The vision for this label is to capture the beautiful songs and tales of Mother Africa and to share them with children across the globe.

Delighting kids' imagination with the sights, sounds and magic of Africa, the label offers a fun and irresistible mix of entertainment and education. It reflects the fascinating diversity of our lives and cultures and promotes tolerance and understanding between all people. By keeping the oral tradition alive and enhancing it with colourful illustrations and uplifting music through our albums we intend to work in harmony with schools and government to protect and celebrate our cultural heritage.

Lullabies from Mother Africa is a soothing and harmonious collection of African traditional lullabies for babies around the world.  A mixture of well-known melodies and original compositions it makes the perfect gift for any mother.

Under African Skies, which captures the songs, sounds and tales of Africa was released in 2006. Available worldwide, the album narrates charming traditional African tales re-interpreted by Nikki Temkin and set to catchy, fun melodies by renowned music producer Wendy Oldfield.  Executive producer Sergio Cartanese says, "It brings South Africa's rich cultural heritage to kids across the globe.  These wonderful stories, which are passed down in the oral tradition, can now be enjoyed by the next generation".

Originally told by word of mouth, African folktales were performed live in front of an audience. This is how these legends passed on from one generation to the next.
